Who are we ?
‘Les Archets suzuki’ were founded in 1995 by two qualified teachers of the ESA (European Suzuki Association).
They are located in Brussels (Schaerbeek and Uccle) and give violin lessons to children from 4 years old upwards ( as well as adults) to learn using the Suzuki method.
This method is based on the process of learning to speak one’s mother tongue : listening, imitation and repetition.
‘Les Archets Suzuki’ are part of the world wide Suzuki movement : they are linked to TESIB (Talent Education Suzuki Institute Belgium) who they are also linked to the ESA (European Suzuki Association) and to ISA (International Suzuki Association).
We ensure:
- Quality of teaching by trained and qualified teachers
- that students can participate in concerts or national and international holiday and weekend courses
- that students who move away can continue to progress without the transition being too difficult
Activities

Objectives
The objective of the Suzuki method is not to form professional musicians but to help them to be bright and happy human beings
To introduce children to classical music
To learn perseverance in a fun way, which could be applied in all the other domains of learning
To respect the speed of progress of each individual
To learn to listen and to work together during the group lessons (social aspect)
To develop the capacity for learning present in each child and to build their self-confidence
To enable children to learn to respect others by removing the notion of competition (the challenge is within oneself)
To reinforce the link between parent to child by progressing together
